For MPharm (Hons) with preparatory year
For the degree with a preparatory year, a minimum of 80–88 UCAS points is required.
We will no longer accept admission/transfers to MPharm from any foundation route, with the exception of those applicants/students coming from a Pharmacy Foundation/Preparatory Year, both internally and externally. We no longer accept admission/transfers from any BSc in scientific areas.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a 30-minute interview. The interview has a multi-station format to assess the applicant’s academic skills, communication skills, experience and motivation to study pharmacy, and their values and judgements in different situational scenarios.
Acceptance onto the programme will be conditional upon a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and satisfactory health checks. For this, they will be required to complete a health check questionnaire. They may also be required to provide evidence of immunisation or health status and to obtain immunisation against vaccine preventable diseases to ensure their safety and the safety of the public during placements.
English language requirement for this course:
- TOEFL iBT 88 (R=20, L=19, S=21, W=20)
- Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE) with an overall score of 59 and no elements less than 59
- Academic IELTS of 6.5 overall, with no components below 6
