How to apply for postgraduate study
Whatever your motivation for pursuing a postgraduate course with Kingston University, our aim is to make the application process as straightforward as possible. Here’s everything you need to know.

Apply online
You can apply to most of our postgraduate courses online via the relevant course page.
If you are applying for a course in the Kingston School of Art or the Faculty of Health, Science, Social Care and Education, you must use the online application route and not apply by post or email.
No option to apply online?
Some course pages do not provide an online application option. In this case, you can apply by email by completing the application form below and emailing it to admissionsops@kingston.ac.uk.
Alternatively you can download the form and send it by post.
Courses that have professional, regulatory and statutory body requirements will require a reference as part of the application procedure. If you have been asked to supply a reference for an application, you can download and complete the Confidential Reference Form.

Funding for postgraduate courses
Student finance
If you are a UK student, a resident in England, and are aged under 60, you will be able to apply for a loan to study for a postgraduate master's degree.
Taught and research-based courses in any subject are eligible, excluding postgraduate certificates (PgCert) or postgraduate diplomas (PgDip). Funding is available for both full-time and part-time study. The loan will be paid directly to you and will be non-means tested. It can be used towards the fees for your course or you can spend it on living costs.
There are also loans available for eligible doctoral research students.
Studentships
For a doctoral research course, there are a few studentships available every year from one of the six Research Councils or the Arts and Humanities Research Board. These are also available for international students to apply to and can help with course fees and living costs.
