Town House Strategy sets clear direction
"Through the Town House Strategy we are transforming our students' education by embedding the Future Skills sought by business and the professions across our curriculum.
It is also giving greater prominence, visibility and support to research and knowledge exchange and creating a culture of high performance that is ambitious, inclusive, innovative and enterprising.
The Strategy will ensure our graduates, our staff and the University itself are sought after. Students will seek to broaden their knowledge and skills at Kingston University because it will help them make the most of their higher education. Staff will choose to work here because they can be effective, innovative and develop their careers. Businesses, organisations and government bodies will seek to partner with us because of our approach, expertise and values."

Leading the way with Future Skills
At Kingston University we’re preparing our students for career success in a rapidly evolving world of work. Central to our Town House Strategy ambitions is the roll out of Future Skills across the curriculum, founded on our sector-leading Future Skills campaign.
Informed by research with leading businesses, every student on every undergraduate course is being equipped with, and assessed on, nine core skills identified by employers as the ones they most value throughout their degree studies.

Shaping the political debate
As the United Kingdom’s leading university for Future Skills, our campaign has been helping to shape the skills agenda in UK political circles.
We have launched our Future Skills reports in the Houses of Parliament during events attended by MPs from across the political spectrum – highlighting cross-party support for our sector-leading Future Skills programme.
Driving impact of our world class research and knowledge exchange
We have introduced four Knowledge Exchange and Research Institutes (KERIs) as part of our Town House Strategy ambitions to deliver greater impact and wider collaboration across our areas of excellence. The KERIs are all about making connections – whether that's bringing together individuals and communities across research areas or enabling staff from across Faculties to collaborate on innovative, interdisciplinary projects.
Through this approach, we can respond quickly to new opportunities in a rapidly changing world that is becoming ever more interconnected through emerging technologies.
