About
I moved down to London from Huddersfield to complete my undergraduate degree in Pharmacy at the University of London School of Pharmacy. Following this I had a stint as a community pharmacist before returning to read a PhD entitled The Use of a Second Excipient to Alter the Characteristics of PVP-Drug Solid Dispersions. I then spent a year working for the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency as a pharmaceutical assessor looking at new product licensing. Following this I did some work as a Post-Doc looking at the expression of erythropoietin in E. coli with a view to subsequent PEGylation. As a senior lecturer in Pharmaceutics at Kingston University I have an interest in solid dosage form design and analysis with applications ranging for the pharmaceutics side to the forensics and crime. I am also interested in technology enhanced learning and in particular lecture casts and flipped learning.
