Courses taught
Professor Nabhani-Gebara is an expert in the evaluation of healthcare innovations. In her EU-funded projects, she leads on the needs assessment studies using a mixed method approach to determine stakeholder requirements to support the development of implementation strategies for service improvement and their evaluation through mixed methodologies such as validation, pilot and feasibility studies. The results of these projects have been widely disseminated in multiple Q1 journals with her as lead author. Her success in the first funded project in 2012 led to a succession of funded projects over the past 10 years from national (InnovateUK) and International (FP7 and H2020) funding bodies.
Her expertise also includes evaluating the impact of diversity and intersectionality on the experience of service users. Her recent work includes investigating the experience of cancer survivors from diverse ethnic backgrounds, which has been presented at the British Oncology Pharmacy Association. It also includes examining the lack of inclusivity of the national bowel cancer screening programme and it's impact on user adoption. This was followed by experience-based co-design of a novel and inclusive campaign, which was piloted earlier this year.
