Payment FAQs
Here are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about Kingston University related online payments.
There are no additional charges for paying by card or through instalments.
Both Quick Pay and Bill Pay can be accessed when selecting to pay by card online.
Quick Pay allows you to pay a specific invoice or pay a set amount onto your account.
Bill Pay enables you to view both your outstanding and paid invoices as well as select specific invoices for payment. You will need to register the first time you use Bill Pay.
The ID number required to pay online is the same as your student number. It consists of 7 numbers and can be found on correspondence sent to you by the University.
Both your tuition and accommodation fees can be paid via instalments, but only if you have set up a Recurring Card Payment Instruction (RCP).
Please note that you will need to set up a separate RCP for both tuition and accommodation.
If you have failed to pay an instalment, you are required to pay the overdue balance online immediately.
Should your RCP instalment fail, we will automatically attempt to take it again 4 days later. If it fails again, you will need to pay the missed instalment online.
Your current balance can be viewed through Bill Pay, which can be accessed by selecting the card payment option.
A recurring card payment (RCP), also referred to as a Continuous Payment Authority (CPA), is an authorisation provided by the card holder permitting the University to take payments from their debit or credit card on specific dates.
Unlike direct debits, which require a UK bank account, an RCP can be set up on an international card if required.
Setting up an RCP is a quick and straight-forward process.
- Visit the RCP link above
- Enter your ID number, date of birth and read and accept the terms and conditions. Click the green 'Continue' button
- Select 'Tuition Payments' or 'Accommodation Payments' and then the RCP option. Click 'Continue'
- Enter your card details
Once the mandate has been successfully submitted, you will receive a confirmation email.
Please note, if you wish to set up RCP's for both tuition and accommodation fees, you will need to go through the procedure twice to set up a RCP for each.
