What is Help to Grow Management?

Kingston Business School's Help to Grow Management course has been helping business owners and leaders boost their business performance, resilience and long-term growth for over a year, with over 300 participants since its inception.

Designed specifically for small and medium sized enterprises and delivered by expert lecturers and facilitators at the business school, the 12-week course is 90% funded by the government.

Key topics covered include strategy and innovation, digital adoption, marketing, branding, high performing workplace and finance.

Online study is combined with peer-to-peer networking and support, as well as in-person case study workshops to help apply the knowledge learnt. You also have your own business mentor to help grow your business.

By the end you will have developed a specific Growth Action Plan to help strengthen your business's future.

  • Small and medium-sized businesses have a vital role to play in the growth and prosperity of the UK economy. Through Help to Grow Management the government is helping business leaders to boost their productivity, with training that is proven to get results. This will help UK businesses to reach their full potential as we build back better from the coronavirus pandemic.

    Help to Grow Management gives small and medium sized businesses the edge in leadership to improve productivity, as well as recruit and retain talented staff, find new customers and increase profits.

  • How does the programme work?
  • The programme is designed to be undertaken alongside full-time work, the time commitment is 50 hours over 12 weeks. It uses a combination of online and face-to-face sessions alongside case study workshops to give you the opportunity to apply the concepts being taught to real-life situations faced by business leaders.

    By the end of the course, you will have developed a tailored Growth Action Plan to help you lead and develop your business with the aim of realising its full potential. You'll be supported through the programme by your dedicated mentor, as well as having the opportunity to learn from peers and network with businesses just like yours.

    The programme is delivered by Kingston University Business School, a world class university that has been a leading provider of entrepreneurship education in the country.
