Mrs Jane Houghton

I graduated in 1996 from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL and was awarded Runner-up for the RIBA Silver medal. I previously studied Fine Art at Central School of Art in London and Bristol College of Art, achieving the David Murray Landscape Fellowship from the Royal Academy of Art.

Prior to joining Kingston School of Art in 2008, I was teaching a Year 2 Design studio at the University of Sheffield and Year 1 Design studio at Sheffield Hallam University.

I have been a visiting critic at a number of universities, including The Bartlett School of Architecture, London Metropolitan University and the University of Westminster. I have also been an external examiner on the Interior Design course at the University of Lincoln.

At Kingston, I teach as part of the Representation team across the Under-graduate School of architecture, teach a Year 3 studio and run a Printmaking Designate for the M. Arch students in Year 4.

I am a Director of HoughtonBudd Architects, which I have run with Andrew Budd since 2003. Completed projects have been recognised, including by the RIBA. Prior to this I worked for Stanton Williams Architects and Conran and Partners.
