About
My research manly focuses on children and adolescents who look different and feel different, and I have a long standing research interest in the psychology of appearance. I have published papers in a variety of different appearance related fields, including visible differences of the face, attitudes to face transplants, living with facial acne in emerging adulthood, and coping as a family construct when a child has a visible difference.

Domains
I am a qualitative researcher, and employ a variety of methods in my research including interviews with children, dyadic interviews with very young children and their parents, as well as focus groups with older children, adolescents and young adults.
