Mrs Siby Sikhamoni

About

I'm a Senior Lecturer within the School of Nursing since 2019.  I completed my Degree in nursing in India and then moved to UK.  Since I qualified, I have worked in acute care and intensive care. I teach on Intensive Care modules and Nursing Associates foundation degree.  Over the years I have gained experience not only in intensive care but while working as Practice Educator, I have worked closely with Student nurses, Health Care Support Workers and Trainee Nurse Associates. I have been involved in service improvement projects in intensive care which has been recognised by the RCNi Nurse Awards in 2016 and had several opportunities to present this work in international conferences. I was also nominated as the finalist by the student Nursing Times Award as the 'Learner of the Year: Post-reg'.  I can now share my experience through teaching and make a difference to the nurses who want to expand their knowledge in the field of intensive care and help develop strong foundations for the nursing students and trainee nurse associates.
