I am a photographer who is engaged with interrogating, exploring and expanding my relationship to photography and society. My diverse practice is located within conceptual, representational and social concerns, addressing issues of identity, culture and place from a personal and social political viewpoint. I have exhibited works both nationally and internationally; in galleries, publications, public installations and interventions and my photographs are in the Tate, British Council and Autograph-ABP's collections and archives. I have also worked in Hong Kong as a photographer and picture editor as well as in the UK. I have collaborated with many different organisations (including The Photographers' Gallery, Barbican Centre, Brighton Photo Biennial, Chisenhale Gallery, Chinese Arts Centre, Hayward Gallery, Mass Observation Archive, Museum of Childhood, Museum of London, National Portrait Gallery, The National Trust, PhotoVoice and the V & A) in my wider engagement with the public and ideas centred around and about contemporary society.
