About
Since qualifying as a Children's Nurse in 2011, I have worked clinically and managerially, in a range of settings. My background is predominantly within Children's Emergency care, but I am also a qualified paediatric non-medical prescriber and a SCHPN Health Visitor. My range of clinical experience includes; working as a Senior Sister of the Paediatric Emergency department, School Nursing at the prestigious Royal Ballet School with elite performers and providing HDU and palliative Home care within the community. Most recently I have been employed as a Clinical Site Manager, covering all aspects of hospital management of both adult and paediatric wards within operations management capacity.
I am extremely passionate about high quality nursing care, which was shown in the below awards:
(2015) Finalist within the Nursing Standard Patient Choice awards for my work in supporting a patient within A&E.
(2021) Winner - Kingston University Student Union award for "most engaging personal tutor"
(2022) Winner - Pulse "putting patients first in nursing" national award
In order to share my passion and enthusiasm to future nurses I have joined the Kingston University team as a lecturer in Children's Nursing.
