About
I am the Head of the Department of Aerospace and Aircraft Engineering. Originally from Canada, I received my undergraduate education at Carleton University in Ottawa. After graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, I completed a PhD at Cambridge University.
My research was in the area of computational modelling of unsteady aerodynamic flows. After my PhD, I took up an academic post at Carleton University and also worked at de Havilland Canada, in the Structural Dynamics and Aeroelasticity group. I spent a sabbatical year at the Canadian Institute of Aerospace Research. In 1996, I moved to the UK to manage the undergraduate Aerospace Engineering programme at Farnborough College of Technology and subsequently moved to Kingston University in 2000 to become the Field Leader for Aerospace Engineering.
At Kingston, I have been actively involved with the development of a range of partnership programmes with industry, the military and FE colleges.
