About
I hold a PhD from Imperial College London, MSc from Sharif University of Technology and BSc from Shiraz University in Mechanical Engineering. Before joining to Kingston University in 2005 as senior lecturer, I worked for Imperial College London (1998-2005) and for Oxford Brookes University (1996-98). I became a Reader in 2010 and currently hold position of Associate Professor at School of Engineering and the Environment.
I have taught in UG and PG programmes in Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace & Aircraft Engineering at Kingston University since 2005. I have directed many MSc and PhD projects and so far I have completed supervision of 16 PhDs.

Domains
My research interests are in the field of fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) composite materials. I design, model and manufacture FRP composites for aerospace structures, wind turbine blades and multifunctional applications. I also develop predictive multiscale models for studying energy dissipation performance in FRP composite and polymeric structures.
My recent research activities are related to design and modelling of nanoreinforced polymers using graphene, CNTs, BNNT and hBN nanoparticles. Special focus of the nanomaterials researches is related to the improvement of the mechanical properties of the nanomaterials for enhancement of nanocomposites FRP.
Dr Hadavinia features in the Editorial team of the Journal of Polymers and Polymer Composites (SAGE); International Nano Letters (Springer -Editorial Board); Open Engineering Journal (De Gruyter- Editor); Recent Patents on Mechanical Engineering (Bentham Science- Associate Editor) and International Journal of Automotive Composites (Inderscience - Editorial Board). He has published over hundred refereed journals and conference papers in the areas of fatigue and impact of fibre-composites, adhesives, and nanocomposites.
