Business leaders from across the region gathered at Kingston Business School for the inaugural Future of Work Summit, organised by Kingston Chamber of Commerce. The event brought together organisations from a range of sectors with University staff and students to share educational insights, network, and engage in conversations around the importance of future skills for the economy.

World Ocean Day: Kingston University expert analyses issue of microplastics

The harmful impact of microplastics on the environment as well as on wildlife and marine life is a growing global concern. But what are microplastics, why are they such a problem and what can be done to reduce their use and the pollution they cause? Associate Professor in analytical chemistry and forensics at Kingston University Dr Rosa Busquets, who has published multiple papers on the topic of microplastics, explores these questions for World Ocean Day (8 June).

Business leaders and Kingston University alumni join students and staff at celebratory event for this year's Beyond Barriers Mentoring Scheme

The achievements of dozens of mentors and mentees who have taken part in this year's Beyond Barriers programme were celebrated at Kingston University's award-winning Town House building. The event, opened by Provost Professor Helen Laville, saw students, staff and industry experts who've been involved in the scheme share their experiences of working with each other, as well as the awarding of the prestigious mentor and mentee of the year awards.
