Clearing is part of the UCAS application process, allowing universities to fill any vacancies they may have on their courses following the release of results. It means that you have an opportunity to find a course to suit you, even if your results are not quite as expected.
You may find yourself in Clearing if:
- You've changed your mind on what or where you would like to study, and have used self-release
- You applied after 6pm on 30 June
- You didn't receive any offers
- You received offers that you decided not to accept
- Your exam results weren't as expected and you didn't meet the conditions of your offers
You can apply for a course through Clearing from Friday 5 July, however, our Clearing line opens on Monday 3 June. Call us on 0800 0483 334* (or +44 20 8328 1149 if you are calling from outside the UK).
*Calls from the UK are free of charge from all consumer landlines and mobile phones.
