I am a Registered Nutritionist (RNutr) specialising in nutritional science.
I have been a lecturer, senior lecturer and course leader in nutrition programmes at several universities in the UK since 2011.
My research focuses on the physiological effects of phytochemicals from edible plants on healthy populations and those at risk from chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease and obesity.
I am currently working in the areas of public health nutrition and public engagement with science to promote health and prevent diet-based diseases. My aim is to translate the science developed in nutritional laboratories into practice.
