A series of short films created by BA(Hons) Illustration Animation students have brought Mark Haddon's new collection of short stories to life, drawing high praise from the acclaimed author. The productions were entries to the Kingston Animation Prize, an annual competition sponsored by publisher Random House's VINTAGE collection.

Kingston University pharmacy students lead the way in using social media to help tackle key public health issues

Pharmacy students at Kingston University are developing new ways of using social media to help tackle key public health issues such as obesity, smoking and cancer awareness. As part of a project aiming to show how community pharmacy teams could use digital platforms to deliver health campaigns to a wide audience, final year students were tasked with setting up and managing Facebook pages to share evidence-based advice around the world.

Not every girl dreams of wearing her favourite tracksuit to the prom. But for one young designer from Kingston University, the idea formed the inspiration for a womenswear collection that blurs the lines between sportswear and party dresses. Influenced by her own love of the sporty two-piece, BA(Hons) Fashion student Lydia Bolton was intent on creating a range of clothing to celebrate the ultimate female tomboy.
