National rugby superstar and OBE Lawrence Dallaglio was also an Urban Estate Management student at Kingston University in the 1990s. Today Lawrence runs his own charity helping 14-17 year olds outside of mainstream education to develop the skills they need to succeed in life.

Kingston University associate professor Dr Alison Baverstock was part of a choir that recorded a cover of The Rolling Stones' 'You can't always get what you want' in memory of Jo Cox. Dr Baverstock performed alongside famous musicians and singers David Gray, Steve Harley and KT Tunstall as a tribute to the MP who was tragically killed in her constituency in June.
