Kingston School of Art music and performing arts expert Dr Helen Minors has been telling the short stories of fictional detective Sherlock Holmes, with classical music interlude, to hospital patients through a volunteer radio show during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Kingston University halls of residence at Seething Wells and Kingston Hill to undergo multi-million pound refurbishment

A £100 million project to upgrade Kingston University's halls of residence at Seething Wells and Kingston Hill gets under way this month. The scheme will be delivered by Kingston Student Living - a consortium made up of infrastructure investment firm Equitix and energy, services and regeneration company ENGIE, who will work in partnership with the University.

Former Kingston University Stanley Picker Gallery fellow Oreet Ashery awarded Turner Bursary

A distinguished artist and former fellow of Kingston University's Stanley Picker Gallery has been awarded a prestigious Turner Bursary. Oreet Ashery has received one of the coveted accolades, announced after this year's Turner Prize exhibition was cancelled in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. She joins a line-up of 10 eminent artists being celebrated by Tate Britain for their significant contributions to new developments in contemporary art.
