Whether you have visited or studied in the UK before or not, if you are interested in learning more about all aspects of British life, this special module (code XB5067) is offered to Study Abroad and International Exchange students and will help you to get the most from your time abroad here.
Over twelve weeks, this module covers different topics, such as the monarchy, history, politics and government, the class system, media, popular music and sport. Lectures are complemented by excursions to places such as the Houses of Parliament, Stonehenge, Bath and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. There is an additional fee required (currently £100 in 2019/20) to cover some of the costs of the field trips, including coach transport and all entry fees).
The module is worth 4 US credits (7.5 ECTS) and runs twice each year, in the autumn (fall) semester and then again in the spring semester.
Hundreds of students have enjoyed studying this module over the years, and we hope that you do too.

"I loved this class! It was really interesting hearing about how similar/different the culture is compared to American culture. Plus the field trips were awesome."
