Arrivals and Orientation for Erasmus / European exchange students

Orientation

This will take place as follows:

• Date: Friday 3 January 2025 at 12 noon – 1.30pm
• Location: The Roberts Lecture Theatre, First Floor, Sopwith Building, Penrhyn Road Campus

Topics covered include:

• meeting some of the Study Abroad International Learning (SAIL) Office team, including contact details and availability
• details of your Faculty contacts (administrators and coordinators)
• introduction to successful learning and teaching in the UK/Kingston system
• finding out more about a wide range of tours around the UK and in Europe, offered by a local tour company.

Faculty Induction Meeting

In addition to the above event, you may need to meet with your faculty Erasmus coordinator/administrator for your specific subject area. At this meeting, you can check the timetable for your study plan (modules) and finalise your learning agreement.

Welcome Reception

There will an informal welcome reception on the evening of Friday 3 January where you can meet other new visiting students in one of Kingston's most popular pubs. The event is invite-only and all relevant students will be e-mailed further details in their pre-arrival information.

Enrolment

Enrolment is the event when you confirm your status as a Kingston University student and will receive your student identity card. There are two stages – the first part is done online and the second in person (identity check).
