Our staff and current students attend a number of fairs across the UK and Ireland, this means you have the opportunity to meet us around the country.
When we can, we visit countries around the world, attend educational fairs and work with our overseas representatives and institutional partners. Our international team also hosts a series of live webinars and web chats on different topics so you can ask the team any questions you may have.
Here at Kingston University, we're committed to ensuring higher education is accessible to everyone who can benefit from it and we're proud to champion alternative routes into university.
When assessing applications, we're looking for evidence of your ability, potential, and passion for your subject area. We look at your formal educational achievements as well as the skills and experience you have gained, in order to evaluate your suitability for a course.
Think you're ready to join us? Amazing! For each of our undergraduate courses, you will need to apply online through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) at ucas.com.
The UCAS code for Kingston University is K84.
Our step-by-step guide will help you through each step of writing a personal statement; from finding out how to begin, to adding those finishing touches that'll make it stand out.
Over 50% of our students commute to us, so rest assured you're not alone. With our well-connected campuses and tailored facilities, we're well prepared to ensure you enjoy university life to the full.
Where you live whilst you're at university can play an important part in your overall experience. Whether you'd like to live on or off campus, we're here to help you feel at home.
We have over 2,000 rooms available, taking into account all tastes and budgets.
Seething Wells has spacious and modern communal areas, including an on-site cafe. The bedrooms and kitchens are also fully refurbished. At our Kingston Hill campus, Chancellors and Walkden Halls are having their bedrooms and kitchens enlarged and refurbished.
Some of our students decide to live independently in the local area rather than living on campus. There are properties you can rent as a group, studio or one-bedroom flats, or rooms in a property with a resident owner, sharing facilities with them.
All students are required to pay tuition fees, which cover the key elements of teaching, assessment and operating university facilities such as the library, IT equipment and other support services.
We want to ensure anyone with potential and drive has the opportunity to study with us, no matter what their background or financial situation. That's why each year, we provide a number of bursaries to support our undergraduate students gain their degrees.
Each year we offer hundreds of Kingston Bursaries to students studying in their first year with us. This is money given to you by the University that you can use to support your studies and pay for things such as books, food and travel costs.
We provide a comprehensive package of support for care leavers, estranged students, young adult carers and sanctuary scholars. Depending on your circumstance, our package may include access to:
– financial support,
– year-round accommodation,
– internal and external opportunities,
– paid work,
– mentoring schemes,
– social and networking events.
At Kingston University, we are committed to providing support to our students during the cost of living crisis. Next are a few money saving tips, shared by our students.
Starting university is a new experience that can be both an exciting and nervous time, but we have lots on offer that'll help you get ready for and thrive in this next adventure.
Our free Head Start programme is your uni hack to help you feel more confident and prepared for starting university. Taking place over the summer before you arrive, the programme is available in a variety of formats to suit your needs and has been described as a ‘game changer' by students who have attended.
We dedicate the whole week before formal teaching begins in the autumn to your Welcome and Induction. The week is designed to help you settle into Kingston, make connections and start your course feeling confident and ready to succeed.
Each summer, we send all of our new students a special, limited-edition copy of a carefully selected book. It goes out with a letter from the author reflecting on how they felt to be starting university. This welcome gift from us will allow you to have something in common with other students even before you set foot on campus.
“Feeling part of a community can make all the difference. We organise book-related events, including one with the author themselves, and activities so everyone can get involved.”
