I received a PhD degree from the Centre of Parallel Computing, Queen Mary College. I am a professor of computer science in the School of Computer Science and Mathematics, Kingston University - London, where I lead the Component & Distributed Systems Research Group (CODIS). My research interests include distributed computing, service orientation and big data. I have been involved in the development of novel technologies for numerous scientific and business applications. My research interests also include advanced software engineering techniques and quality assurance. I have been involved in a large number of national and international research projects and various industrial partnerships. I also chaired many international conferences and have been a keynote speaker at numerous international events. I have authored/co-authored more than 300 technical papers and I have also edited/co-edited a number of books and special issues.
