Ms Lizzie Hamilton

About

I have recently joined the team as a Senior Midwifery Lecturer from 20 years clinical practice, where I held senior leadership roles for the last 10 years. I am passionate about transferring my knowledge and experience to the future of midwifery, offering lived examples that relate the theory of clinical, social and political context of midwifery, to practice.

I always champion diversity and inclusivity, advocating all to challenge conscious, and unconscious bias's, in all settings. As an experienced Mental Health First Aider I focus on psychological safety, both within a clinical setting and my amongst peers.

One of my greatest achievements has been navigating a Maternity service through a global pandemic, implementing a recovery strategy into the new norm.
