I am a Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing. My role includes developing, teaching, and supporting the BSc and MSc pre-registration Nursing Programs at Kingston University.
I became a nurse NMC teacher with a focus on supporting learning and assessment in practice. My area of expertise is cardiac critical care, but I also have experience in cardiothoracic, palliative care, clinical risk management, and education. My work in the NHS and private sectors in London has given me clinical and managerial experience. I had the privilege of participating in the establishment of two new hospitals in London. These projects were an excellent opportunity for me to experience and demonstrate in practice the value of beginning with the "why" in leadership and management skills to ensure patient safety and staff quality in both working and training environments.
My master's degree is in Education, and I focused on ensuring an inclusive curriculum by incorporating diversity concepts, content, and material, and by making learning and assessment methods in a digital format simple and accessible for both learners and educators. I believe education is the most important thing in life, and it is important to continue the process of lifelong learning within a career.
