I am a Senior Lecturer in Real Estate and the Course Director for the BSc Real Estate Management programme at Kingston University. With over two decades of banking industry experience complemented by a robust academic background, I offer a rich blend of knowledge and expertise to my role. My professional journey is underpinned by a steadfast commitment to sharing my expertise, nurturing future professionals, and continuously fostering an inspiring educational environment.
As both a CFA Charter Holder and a Chartered Surveyor, I draw upon my comprehensive analytical and quantitative skills in various professional capacities. My teaching approach is practical and example-led, consistently delivering strong learning outcomes for students. My fundamental aim is to create an inclusive learning environment where students, regardless of their prior background in finance and accounting, can master the essential principles of business studies. I am devoted to encouraging my students to think critically, enabling them to apply theoretical knowledge effectively in real-world scenarios, especially within the realms of Banking, Financial Markets, and Real Estate.
Beyond teaching, I am an active researcher exploring financial intermediation, the banking industry, and household finance. My research focuses on the financial dynamics within these areas, particularly how varying market circumstances, regulatory environments, and economic conditions impact the evolution of financial intermediation. I am also interested in how these changes influence decision-making in households and the broader implications for financial stability and economic growth.
