I'm joint Course Leader for the Foundation Diploma in Art, Design, and Media Practice, as well as a Senior Lecturer & co-Pathway Leader in Visual Communication. Foundation at KSA embraces a cross-disciplinary, ideas-driven approach, empowering our students to take advantage of the full spectrum of creative practice. Our rich studio culture is an intrinsic part of who we are and what we do! 

As an Academic Co-ordinator I am also part of the Short Courses team at KSA, overseeing the delivery of an exciting programme of short courses running throughout the year with an emphasis on widening participation. 

In both my teaching and my own creative practice, I strongly believe in the potential of writing and language both as a tool for developing ideas and a visual output. I am interested in local histories and the history of informal design practices; the regional nature of traditional industries and the re-framing of small scale industries as "crafts"; and the potential of design artefacts as a means to record regional histories and to deepen our understanding of everyday life.
