With a background in sociology, I have utilised my knowldedge of social movement, both theroetical and empirical, to explore interprofessional collaboration in healthcare. Having undertaken a masters degree in Sport, Culture and Society at Cardiff Metropolitan University, I was compelled to develop this training in a doctoral context. My PhD thesis explored the issue of touching practice amongst physical education teachers and called upon post-structural and late modern social theory in addition to creative forms of methodological representation. My current research interests include: The notion of professional identity in adverse social conditions; Interprofessional collaboration and education; Ethnographic research methods; Systematic review and Realist synthesis.
