I lecture on modules pertaining to Gothic studies, monsters and radical writing from the eighteenth century all the way to contemporary literature. I have previously taught on the modules Radical Writers, Deadly Desires/Dangerous Discourses, Humanities in Action.
I completed my PhD at Kingston University, researching monstrosity and how it opens up political discussions in a range of theories. I am particularly interested in conceptions of power and how art is able to form a resistance to dominant powers.
I am a member of the International Gothic Association and Kingston University's Race/Gender Matter research group.
