Dr Nadia Touileb Djaid

About

I am a Senior Lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and the Course Leader of the MEng/BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering, the MEng/BEng (Hons) Electronic Products Engineering, and the MSc in Electronics and Robotics. I joined Kingston University in June 2024, bringing experience from various universities in the UK and abroad.

My passion lies in Electronics and Robotics, and I am dedicated to exploring innovative approaches within these fields. I hold an undergraduate degree in Control Engineering along with an MSc and a PhD in Robotics from the University of Paris Saclay, France. Additionally, I have completed a PgCert in Professional Academic Practice, and I am a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

As an active member of the Women's Engineering Society, I endeavour to advocate for female representation in engineering and STEM disciplines. Additionally, I am engaged with two professional bodies, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).

My research focuses on robotic control, data fusion, swarm robotics, and human-robot interaction. I also supervised a research project on leveraging AI in support of nanomedicine and nanorobotics and I am working on projects focusing on robotic control in swarm robotics.
