Dr Mohamed Nurullah

About

I am an Associate Professor (Reader) and former Head of the Department of Accounting, Finance and Informatics at Kingston Business School. I also act as Doctoral Programme Coordinator for the Department and hold the Membership of the Faculty's Research Degrees Committee (FRDC).

I joined Kingston University in 2009 from Glasgow Caledonian University. Prior to that I worked full time for four years at the Faculty of Finance of Cass Business School London from where I also completed my PhD in 2000. After joining Kingston University, I established two postgraduate programmes from scratch - MSc Banking and Finance, and MSc Investment and Financial Risk Management. Both the programmes attract high calibre students and have high employment record. I also successfully led the revalidation of all the postgraduate programmes of the Department and acted as Director of Postgraduate Programmes for over six years.

I have acted as external validation panel member for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for a number of UK Universities. I also acted as external examiner for a number of PhDs in the UK.

I have successfully supervised a number of doctoral students and am willing to supervise suitably qualified doctoral students in the areas of banking and finance, insurance and risk management, fintech, behavioural finance and investment, Islamic banking,  integrated reporting, capital budgeting, regulatory and supervisory authority structure and governance of financial institutions, and regulation of financial services.

I hold visiting position at Glasgow University, Westminster University and City University. I  previously acted as Chief Examiners for the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) and the Institute of Financial Services (ifs) London.
