With a background in Civil Engineering and an MBA, I have successfully completed my PhD in Civil Engineering, showcasing my commitment to in-depth research and technical expertise. I am highly detail-oriented and possess a strong aptitude for grasping new concepts swiftly. My enthusiasm, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, drives my motivation to excel in the field. As a results-oriented engineer, I specialise in developing innovative applications and products, contributing to intellectual property creation, and offering effective technical solutions. Teaching and learning

My duty requirements involve planning and delivering the above modules within the curriculum in civil engineering department. I aim to regularly evaluate and update content to reflect modern environments present in students' lives today. Examples associated with these notions involve, sharing international case studies and connecting them to real life scenarios via companies such as, Mace and Morgan-Sindall, in aim that this will promote employability rates and introduce new measures to achieve sustainable construction methods. 

 

  • Served as an Industry Education Consultant, specializing in the field of Construction and Built Environment.
  • Applied diverse teaching strategies, including the utilization of virtual and immersive technologies with the latest industry applications, to facilitate high-quality learning and engagement.
  • Civil/Construction Engineering department team leader, this involved good relationship between industry and academic sector to design and customize educational programs to match the industry requirements with the University.
  • Actively participated in marketing and promotion of the civil engineering and the Construction and Built Environment sector. Contributions included advertising and engagement in recruitment activities, such as representing the college at industry events like the Grand Design Exhibition in May 2023.
  • Provided valuable academic and pastoral support to Construction and Built Environment students and their companies.

  • • Coordination for Setting Out: Coordinating construction drawings to facilitate precise setting out procedures, including transforming global grid references into local contexts for accurate construction alignment.
  • • Site Reporting and Documentation: Developing the ability to create comprehensive site reports, meticulously documenting setting out activities and monitoring project progress.
  • • Health and Safety: Embracing the paramount importance of adhering to rigorous health and safety protocols on construction sites, fostering a secure work environment.
