Dr Farooq Mahmood

About

Farooq is a Chartered Management Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant who has served on the board of an NFP as its Finance Director. He has also been serving in an advisory role for a global organisation, working on the harmonisation of accounting practices for its international operations. Farooq's industry experience encompasses positions at Fidelity International as a Fund Accountant and at RSM International (formerly Baker Tilly Accountants) within the audit function.

Aside from his professional roles, Farooq has been involved in academia, teaching at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the London School of Economics (LSE). He has also been a lecturer for the ACCA and CIMA professional qualifications. Additionally, he has served as the Secretary of the British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA) SEAG.

Farooq's contributions to teaching and learning have been recognised through several prestigious awards at the University. These awards include Lecturer of the Year, Best Use of Technology, Personal Tutor Award, and University-wide Personal Support Award.
