I hold a Lecturer position in Mechanical Engineering at Kingston University (Roehampton Vale campus) in the United Kingdom (UK). My research interest involves supporting engineering design activities with emergent computational technologies, focusing on computational design cognition, crowdsourcing, machine learning, natural language processing, AI in design, and data-driven design and innovation. My research addresses various challenges relating to cognitive limitations in concept generation for product innovation and invention. I have a special research interest in investigating fundamental theories, methods, and approaches on how a new concept is driven and produced in engineering design. My research also places a strong emphasis on exploring new computational algorithms, models, and tools for supporting challenging conceptual activities in engineering design.
Prior to joining Kingston University, I worked as a Researcher at the University of Exeter in the UK. I have industrial experience and extensive experience in supporting teaching and learning within and outside the UK. I hold a PhD in Product Design Engineering and an MSc in Engineering Design.
