About

I am a regenerative designer, teacher and structural engineer. I studied regenerative design at Regenesis Institute, trained as a teacher at the University of Buckingham and engineering at the University of Cambridge.

I taught at several schools of architecture including the Architectural Association, Central Saint Martins, Oxford Brookes and London Metropolitan University. As an engineer I worked at Ramboll on refurbishments and towers, at engineersHRW I worked on masterplans and bridges and at Price & Myers I worked on complicated geometry and artwork. In 2020 I led the [ECCG] a cross industry carbon research group. I am part of the ACAN Embodied Carbon Group and the Whole Life Carbon Network (WLCN).

My practice and research are interested in design methods that reduce the climate, biodiversity and cultural impacts of building. I have been looking at Low Carbon Design, better integrating ecology, exploring Water Management and Inclusive Design. I have applied my research to practice including the Light House, the Round House and Walworth Gardens Horticultural Classroom.

My current work focuses on Regenerative Design as a way to create more systematic change and have been part of the Regenerative Design Lab led by Constructivist.
