I have been a Senior Lecturer at Kingston University since 2005, and from 2013 till 2021 Academic Director for the Undergraduate and Apprenticeship programme. I have obtained much knowledge and experience by working within a worldwide Real Estate Consultant and Asset Manager role in the Real Estate industry (St James's, West End London) as Global Head of Asset Management and Performance Reporting (assets app. £2Bn in 2004). I have also held the position of Academic Director of the PG course.
I am a recognised Senior member of the Higher Education Academy since 2014 and member of the Chartered Association of Business Schools, and hold a European chartered membership within the industry (CEng. OE). I obtained my Masters in Real Estate in 1999 (UK and The Netherlands) and have a Masters in Real Estate, Research (MRes.) and a PGCert. in Higher Education.
I am also an External Examiner at UCEM, the Academic Lead for Chancerygate Foundation and member of the Joint Executive Committee for Corndel Ltd. (Apprenticeship provider) at KBS.
For my MRes I embarked on Research investigating the evolution of the role of Women within Real Estate, focusing on their Wellbeing and the furthering of their role within the industry. I have been part of the Well-being at Work Research Group, and am currently working within the Future of Work Research Group. I am also a member of the Association of Women in Property (WiP), and select and mentor female students to partake in the WiP annual awards.
During the 2020 pandemic lockdown I have also had the opportunity of completing the Science of Wellbeing course delivered by Prof. Laurie Santos of Yale University. I utilised some of the well researched tools and techniques to help students with new added challenges.
