Our Year 8 Explorer Workshops aim to get young people thinking about their futures and career options by linking their current interests and skills with the potential routes available to them after they have left compulsory education.
Our Education Liaison staff, accompanied by skilled student ambassadors will visit your school to deliver a two-hour interactive workshop, followed by an optional visit to our university campus.
Please note that access to a computer and a projector is necessary during the visit to your school.
Pupils are given the opportunity to interview their student ambassador to learn more about university/student life, take part in an interactive university quiz to test their knowledge of higher education and begin to explore progression pathways. Pupils will also be given the opportunity to explore their personal interests by discussing their ideal careers while working in small groups.
This visit helps to raise student aspirations for the future and involves a series of fun and interactive activities. Pupils will also have the opportunity to have a student ambassador led tour of our campus.
For more details, or to request a booking, please contact us using schoolsandcolleges@kingston.ac.uk.
Workshops are delivered at a time to suit your school, please give as much notice as possible.
