Development of SMEs in Oman is becoming a strategic initiative in the country. SMEs worldwide encounter and experience many issues especially when economic hits such as the latest Pandemic and the following economic downturn that resulted. One of the concerning areas that SMEs have faced serious difficulties in such tough economic times is funding and financing their businesses whether existing or for starters and enterpreneurs. The focus here is with SMEs funding and financing strategies in Oman. Also on what SMEs needs are such as incentives, government support, access to knowledge which are linked to finanacing and funding for survival and sustainability especially in touch times.
I graduated from Reading University back in 2003 awarded BSc in quantity surveying and construction management engineering. Completed MBA in 2011 from Bedfordshire University as part time. Completed MSc full time from Bournemouth University in 2016. Member of the chartered institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) in 2019. Currently working in Oman as Contracts and Procurement manager in the oil and gas sector. I have almost 17 years of working experience in total mainly in the oil and gas, in supply chain management, contracts and procurement, business management and administration. By completing the PhD, I wish to join the academic sector and be a researcher in an educational institute such as reputable university.
