Deputy Ambassador Miss Nerys Jones, warmly welcomed guests to the residency, introducing the history of the building and speaking of its ornate architecture. She spoke highly of Kingston and addressed the importance of academia and staying in touch.
Pro Vice-Chancellor David Mackintosh spoke about the strong relationship with our partner institutions in Greece, Kingston's Led by Learning strategy and our thriving alumni association.
Now in its eighth year, the event is proving to be a real success. Around 200 alumni, guests and staff were in attendance to catch up with old friends and make new ones. It was lovely to see such a range of alumni at the event, from very new graduates to a 1971 graduate! We were also pleased to welcome some applicants who will be starting their course in the forthcoming academic year.
This hugely popular event celebrates the success and achievements of Kingston University graduates living and working in Greece, and the collaborations between Kingston University and partner institutions in Greece.
After some delicious canapés, a few drinks and lots of laughs the alumni left, Kingston souvenir in hand, looking forward to next year's event!
