Senior leaders from the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences travelled to Russia earlier this month to celebrate the graduation of this year's cohort of students from Kingston University's MBA in Moscow, delivered in partnership with the Russian Presidential Academy of Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA).
The academy is Russia's leading provider of education and training programmes for civil servants, entrepreneurs, financiers and lawyers. Kingston Business School has been working in partnership with the institution for more than 20 years delivering postgraduate business and executive education programmes to some of the country's most successful business leaders and political influencers.
More than 70 students received awards for MBA, Executive MBA and International Human Resources Management programmes at a ceremony at the home of British Ambassador Dr Laurie Bristow, overlooking the Kremlin. They were awarded their diplomas by Rector of the Presidential Academy Professor Vladimir Mau, Dean of Kingston University's Faculty of Business and Social Sciences Professor Jill Schofield, Dean of the Faculty of International MBA Programs RANEPA Margarita Perepelitsa and Head of Kingston Business School Ian Roberts.
Addressing the graduates, Ambassador Bristow commended RANEPA and Kingston University for their contributions towards the development of relations between Russia and the UK.
Mr Roberts said the partnership with RANEPA added a strong global dimension to Kingston Business School that benefitted all its students. "I'm incredibly proud of our long standing partnership with RANEPA and the colleagues who make this so successful. It was fantastic to be able to celebrate the achievements of our amazing graduates in Moscow, some of the very best leaders in Russia," he said.
EMBA graduate Arina Slynko, from Moscow, paid tribute to the generosity and expertise of the Kingston University and RANEPA academics who had shared their knowledge and professional experience with the students during their studies.
"Thanks to the Kingston University and RANEPA EMBA program, it became completely clear to me that knowledge itself is not as important unless coupled with action. The EMBA program is not about how to create a process, but about how to achieve progress, how to be a leader of change, how to learn to lead and manage trends."
