Alumni, students and staff 'Upgrade' their social media skills at the final masterclass of this year's series

Posted Friday 11 March 2016

More than 80 alumni, students and staff packed the Kingston Business School for last month's Upgrade masterclass, which saw digital engagement adviser Tracy Playle offer her advice on using social media to advance your business, your knowledge and your career.

From LinkedIn to guest blogging, Tracy used her personal experiences to share her tips, her do's and don'ts, and her tricks for each platform.

Tracy is the founder and director of strategic communications consultancies, Pickle Jar Communications Ltd and Utterly Content Ltd, having previously worked in communications for the University of Warwick. Prior to founding her first consultancy in 2007, Tracy worked as Head of Research TV, a broadcast public relations service that raised the profile of university research on television channels around the world and online.

After the masterclass, guests networked in the Business School Atrium, where they were given the chance to share ideas and advice with each other, as well as Tracy too.

We hope you enjoyed this year's series, and we look forward to seeing you later in the year at the 2016/17 Upgrade masterclasses!
