Graduation film welcomes the class of 2015 into the Kingston University Alumni Association

The Kingston University Alumni Association has welcomed this year's graduates into the family with a brand-new video.

The video, which was first shown at July's graduation ceremonies, introduces the class of 2015 to the work of the Alumni Association, and highlights some of the ways they can become involved.

"Welcome to your future", says Bonnie Greer OBE, Chancellor at Kingston University. "Your links don't end here, this is the beginning. Now, you're made in Kingston. We're here to support you, and help you support future Kingston students who will be following in your footsteps."

The video outlines the ways Kingston alumni can support current and future students, including offering work experience placements, becoming mentors, and by sharing their experiences.

"I decided to be a mentor because I wanted to give something back," said Jamie Pipkin, who graduated with a  History BA(Hons) in 2012. "I benefited from so much help and support when I was a student at university, so as a graduate feeling like I could give something back, it was a no brainer for me."

There are a number of benefits alumni can gain by joining the society, including careers support for up to three years after graduating, access to funding for further study and scholarships, and a number of discounts including library membership, gym membership and access to an NUS Extra card.
