We were hosted by MAD's managing director, Robert Cundall on behalf of honorary graduate of Kingston University and MAD director Glenn Adamson who sadly couldn't make it. Co-hosts Kingston University's Chancellor Bonnie Greer OBE and Vice-Chancellor Julius Weinberg thanked Bob for having us there, for giving guests the opportunity to look around the museum and both expressed their pleasure at seeing so many people at the event, and in such a great venue.
"Reunions are a great opportunity to bring together Kingston's North American family and let them know more about what's happening at the University including our success as the leading UK university for start-up businesses, being placed 4th in the world (again) for Fashion, as well as sharing news about our new partnership with Boston University. It's also a chance to show alumni our future plans, such as the iconic new building for the Penrhyn Road campus," said professor Julius Weinberg.
Chancellor Bonnie Greer reminisced about her time living New York, and said how great it was to be back in such a vibrant city. She also thanked everyone for coming to the event and was enjoying getting to know Kingston's alumni some more.
It was great to meet so many new faces, many of whom were really keen to find out more about the benefits of the Alumni Association. We encouraged all the alumni to join us on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter to keep in touch.
If you are based in the USA and would like to be kept up to date about future events and news from the US, please email alumni@kingston.ac.uk.
