Posted Tuesday 23 July 2013

We are pleased to congratulate Dick Moody as this years' recipient of the Geological Society's Distinguished Service Award.

Treasured amongst Kingston geology alumni, the Geological Society and the Geologists' Association alike, Dick is a well-known and highly respected individual in the field.

He recently received his award from the president of the Geological Society, Professor David Shilston.

We look forward to celebrating with Dick at the next geology pub night!

We are also pleased to congratulate Bob Thomas (Geology BSc(Hons), 1973) who received the Coke Medal which is awarded to a field geologist who has made an unparalleled contribution to the geological mapping of Africa.
