Kingston University celebrates Green Impact scheme success

In January 2021, Kingston University re-launched its sustainability champion network scheme Green Impact. Green Impact is a United Nations award-winning programme designed to support environmentally and socially sustainable practices and behaviours and breaks down the often-complex world of sustainability into simple, meaningful, and manageable actions. The programme is entirely voluntary and open to all Kingston University staff members.

Kingston University Women in Enterprise Network (KUWEN) celebrated its one year anniversary with a virtual webinar that marked International Women's Day and focused on the theme, Breaking the Bias. The network is open to Kingston University students, alumni, staff and women in the local community. Kingston University hosts Human Face of Venture Capital event as budding entrepreneurs look to secure their first big investment

Kingston University welcomed a panel of investors into the RIBA award-winning Town House for the Human Face of Venture Capital event. Aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners from across South London were invited to hear about the human side of what can often be considered intimidating investors. The four investors included Kingston alumnus Matthew Cushen, founding partner of Worth Capital, and the event was hosted by Ian Roberts, head of Kingston Business School.

Kingston University students' entrepreneurial spirit shines in Bright Ideas 2022 grand final

The seventeenth annual Bright Ideas final saw Kingston University students pitch their business ideas before a group of expert investors in a Dragons' Den-style competition. The People's Choice winner was Farah Nehme with her concept, Family Playhouse – an educational toy for children over the age of three which informs about non-traditional family dynamics.

Kingston University's Town House one of five finalists for prestigious European Union contemporary architecture prize

Kingston University's RIBA Stirling Prize winning Town House building is one of five leading European projects on the final shortlist for this year's European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture - Mies van der Rohe Award. The landmark building on the Penrhyn Road campus was designed by Grafton Architects and named Britain's best new building by the Royal Institute of British Architects in October last year.
