Exhibition sheds light on women's experiences in the era of mass introduction of electricity to rural homes in Ireland

Kingston University researcher and senior lecturer in design history and theory, Dr Sorcha O'Brien has co-curated an exhibition looking at how the lives of women were affected by the electrification of rural Ireland. ‘Kitchen Power - Women's experiences of rural electrification' is the flagship temporary exhibition at the Museum's Country Life site this year.
