English language requirement exceptions

If you have studied or lived in a majority English-speaking country, you may not need to prove your English language ability.

Postgraduate courses

You do not need to meet Kingston University or the UK Visas and Immigration's English language requirements, if you:

• are from one of these recognised majority English-speaking countries (MESCs) or
• you have successfully completed a qualification equivalent to a taught UK bachelors degree in one of these recognised MESCs.

Undergraduate courses

You will not need to meet Kingston University or the UK Visas and Immigration's English language requirements if you:

• have successfully completed a qualification equivalent to a taught UK bachelors degree in one of these recognised MESCs or
• you are from one of these recognised majority English-speaking countries (MESCs).

Preparatory courses

If you need a Student Route visa to study a preparatory course, you can only use a limited range of tests unless you are exempt from the UK Visas and Immigration's English language requirements because you:

• are from one of these recognised majority English-speaking countries (MESCs)  or
• you have successfully completed a qualification equivalent to a taught UK bachelors degree in one of these recognised MESCs.
