We believe in the need for qualified journalists and publishers to report, investigate, analyse and entertain. With the huge technological changes taking place in the media world the need for skilled, reflective journalists and publishers has never been greater. Our courses aim to produce these thoughtful and adept professionals to bear witness, examine and verify information in a digital age.
Our journalism and publishing courses provide you with a variety of traditional and new media skills and knowledge to prepare you for a career in these industries. Our graduates can be found plying their trade around the world, whether it is in newspapers, magazines, TV or radio, digital media or in related industries such as PR, publishing or advertising.
Our staff are top practitioners in their fields and you will learn from the best. You also have the opportunity to undertake work experience and internships in London, the hub of the UK's media industry, supported by our award-winning work placement scheme.
We offer an immersive experience. You will work on live publishing and journalism projects that will develop your skills through hands-on experience. The River Newspaper - made by our final year undergraduate students - was nominated several times for Publication of the Year in the Guardian Student Media Awards and has won the top prize.
