The Digital Media workshop gives Kingston School of Art students access to a wide range of current design-related software. It sits alongside teaching facilities. The workshop houses:
- 128 iMac workstations for 2D and 3D design with 2 teaching rooms used for course specific software tutorials.
- Locally installed Adobe Suite CC 2017, Vectorworks and Microsoft Office, with Avid Media Composer and Cinema 4D in selected teaching rooms.
- GPU boosted virtualised Windows environment for improved CAD workflow for SolidWorks and Autodesk packages Virtual environment includes extensive software library that can be accessed from home.
- Large format scanner and 2 Wide Format Printers for poster printing and large photography and canvas prints. Standard A3 & A4 multi-functional printers with scanning, bypass and booklet printing capabilities.
All students can use the Digital Media Workshop six days a week. Support is available from knowledgeable and collaborative technicians.
